Passwords

All your logins, safely locked away

Passwords keeps your logins, PINs, bank cards and secure notes in one encrypted place that opens with your screen lock. It can fill them into apps and websites for you and points out weak or reused passwords.

What it does

Everything in Passwords.

1Logins, PINs, cards and notes

Store website and app logins, PINs, cards with their details, and secure notes, all searchable.

2AutoFill

Suggests the right login in apps and supported browsers, and fills it once you unlock.

3Strong password generator

Creates easy-to-type strong passwords, random passwords or safe PINs.

4Security check

Finds reused and weak passwords, easy PINs and expired cards, entirely offline.

5Import from other managers

Bring in passwords from a CSV file, including Chrome, Bitwarden and Firefox exports.

6Encrypted export

Move to a new phone with an export file protected by your own passphrase.

7Safe copying

Copied secrets are cleared from the clipboard after 60 seconds or when Passwords locks.

8Recovery key

A recovery key reopens your vault if you change your screen lock.

How it works

Up and running in three steps.

  1. Set a screen lock if you don't have one, then open Passwords.
  2. Add your logins or import them from a file.
  3. Turn on AutoFill in Settings so Passwords fills them in for you.
Your privacy

Passwords has no internet access at all, so nothing can leave the phone; it is encrypted with a key held in the phone's secure hardware and locks the moment you leave it.

FAQ

Passwords questions.

01Does it check if my passwords were in a breach?

No. It has no internet by design, so all security checks are done on the phone.

02Can Face Unlock open it?

No. It needs your PIN, pattern, password or a strong fingerprint, because face unlock on CubeOS is a convenience method only.

03What if I remove my screen lock?

Use your recovery key to reopen the vault; without it the data can't be recovered.

04Will it fill my password into any app's web page?

No. It only matches web addresses in trusted browsers, so an app can't load your bank's page and read back what is filled.
