A hidden vault only you can open
Private Locker is a hidden, encrypted space for photos, videos, documents, notes and apps you want to keep private. It has no app icon, stays closed even when someone holds your unlocked phone, and can show a decoy Locker if you're forced to open it.
Everything in Private Locker.
No app icon and not in recent apps; open it by dialling *#5625#, typing it in Home search, or from Privacy & security in Settings.
Photos, videos, documents and notes are encrypted on import and viewed without ever being saved as plain files.
A second passcode opens a separate Locker holding only what you put in it.
Hide or pause chosen apps, such as chat apps, so they can only be opened from the Locker.
Optionally takes a front-camera photo after wrong passcodes.
Wrong passcodes bring growing waits, from 30 seconds up to 24 hours.
Re-locks apps, clears the clipboard and closes the Locker instantly.
Save an encrypted backup file, protected by a recovery code shown only once.
Coming soon: Uploading the encrypted backup to the cloud is marked "Coming soon"; a separate Locker PIN on the lock screen is not built; Locker Plus is shown as included during the preview with no billing.
Up and running in three steps.
- Dial *#5625# and set your passcode.
- Import photos, videos or documents, or lock the apps you want hidden.
- Leave the Locker and it locks itself straight away.
Private Locker has no internet access; everything is encrypted with keys held in the phone's secure hardware, screenshots of it are blocked, and backups are files you save yourself.
Private Locker questions.
01Will the decoy fool a forensic lab?
No. It's designed to fool a person looking at the phone, not a forensic examination.
02Can I delete the originals after importing?
Yes. After a successful import the Locker offers to delete them, with a clear warning.
03Will the camera light show for intruder photos?
Yes. The phone's camera privacy indicator still lights up.
04Can I show an icon on the Home Screen?
Yes, you can turn one on in the Locker's settings.
